The Dorfler family have been making bows for four generations, establishing their workshops in Bubenreuth, with the founder, Daniel Dorfler pursing quality by basing their style on the work of supreme French bow maker Francois Xavier Tourte. Their “15A” model bows, stamped “W. Dorfler” have an octagonal stick made from selected pernambuco which has been seasoned for 30 years. The sticks are strong, with good resistance and bounce and produce a clear, warm sound.
